Niveus Multi-ZONE Architecture

Whether it's using this Smart Resume feature, or simply replying on the auto syncronization features of the ZONE, your multiple ZONEs are designed to act as a single, intuitive system that's smart enough to manage all your digital content.
Kitchen, Bedroom, Basement, etc. The Niveus ZONE is comfortable in any room of the house. You can mount the ZONE behind a display using standard VESA mounting brackets, or simply place the ZONE on a table or stand next to your display. At 6" x 6", the ZONE can hide or be displayed depending upon preference.
Automatic Sync Your family of ZONEs can be setup to automatically detect your network media locations. Once configured, all future media added to those locations will be updated across your newtork of ZONEs.

Share High Definition Television With the recent addition of "Copy Freely" technology, the Niveus ZONE can now share high definition television amongst your ZONEs. With the exception of certain channels that are normally restricted from sharing (ie. HBO, Showtime, PPV) most channels now support PC to PC sharing. While this functionality may vary from market to market, depending upon Cable Provider, it's a great feature that truly brings digital television into the 21st Century.

While wireless technologies are fine for sharing photos and music around your house, a wired connection is the preferred method of sharing HD Video between multiple ZONEs.

HD Digital Cable Television For United States based customers Niveus recommends the ATI External Digital Cable Receiver. Each ZONE is Digital Cable Certified to support unique Cable Card technology and allow two tuners to record one show and watch another. For international customers please consult the Niveus ZONE Forums to understand which forms of digital television are supported, and which forms will be supported in the future.
Wireless Keyboard This palm sized keyboard with back lighting will give you both mouse and keyboard control of your ZONE. While keyboard control is certainly not a requirement of using the ZONE, it will enhance your experience by providing a quicker method of entering passwords or searching for a movie in the Niveus Movie Library.
Universal Remote Your Harmony One remote can support up to 15 separate devices, making it easy to control additional home entertainment devices beyond just the ZONE. Add Xbox 360, your A/V receiver and more via the Harmony easy online setup wizard.
More Storage The ZONE is designed with a minimal amount of storage to achieve its small size. You can add capacity to your ZONE with both direct attached storage (eSata, USB), or network attached storage (Ethernet). We at Niveus recommend the latter. The HP MediaSmart Server is designed to be located anywhere in the house you have a network connection. You can store your movies, music, photos and television on the HP Server and your Niveus ZONE will automatically find and display it.
Wireless N Get the latest in wireless technologies with Wireless N (80211.n). If your home is equipped with a Wireless N Router, this may be the best option for bringing audio and video to those remote locations around the house. That being said, a wired network connection is still the best for moving video around your home, so for that reason Niveus opted out of including it natively in the ZONE.
